10 hour London Layover :(

Shall I sit in the airport for ten hours while London sits beckoning my feet to walk along it? I took to the streets of London while waiting for the final flight for Uganda. I walked by Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and a perfect park bench where I sat to think about my journey. Even while being among all the tourists and the constant buzz of history, I kept my thoughts on the trip ahead. I had a wonderful opportunity to talk to a local British chap (John) who sat on the bench next to me. John is an architect for schools (ironic?) and we talked a while about England's conditions with education. The whole time we talked I was amazed by how much our countries struggle with the same issues.
I look forward to coming back here someday with Sara and truly exploring the rich history. I literally sat 100 feet from Joan of Arc's grave!

I took all these pictures by myself!

You know, the old "hold the camera up and hope you center the picture just right." (tee-hee)

I like the new hair cut, looks good.
What's up coach, went by the house yesterday to surprise you but you weren't there. Didn't realize you were leaving so soon. I did see the girls though and they are doing fine.
Unfortunately, I am leaving on the 29th and I know you don't get back til the 30th, missed by one day.
I will be back in Colorado from Aug. 22-26 for the two games we have at Regis University. I gave the dates to Sarah, but here they are again just in case. Aug. 23 @ 1pm and Aug. 25 @4pm, hope you will be able to make it.
Soccer starts up on the 31st, pretty excited about that and we leave for Costa Rica on the 9th, very excited about that.
School is going well and I wanted to let you know that I have decided to try to get into a Masters program for Education, done lots of thinking and teaching is what I want to get into. You've inspired me, thank you for that.
Hope you're enjoying the experience there in Africa and have safe travels for the rest of the time you are there.
